Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Montreal, Canada, Housefly Hum emerges as a force to be reckoned with, blending the raw energy of rock with the finesse of eclectic influences. Since their formation in 2018, the quartet, consisting of Lawrence Di Iorio on vocals, Domenico Carbone on guitar and backing vocals, Michael McDonald on bass, and Raymond Farina on drums, has been captivating audiences with their dynamic performances and infectious melodies.

Lead vocalist Lawrence Di Iorio brings a soulful intensity to the forefront, while Domenico Carbone’s guitar work draws from a diverse array of influences ranging from the riff- driven prowess of Led Zeppelin to the melodic sensibilities of The Beatles. Michael McDonald lays down a solid foundation with his bass lines, anchoring the band’s sound with groove and precision. Raymond Farina’s rhythmic prowess on the drums propels the band forward, adding a pulsating heartbeat to their music.

Housefly Hum’s artistic palette is as varied as their influences, with nods to the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, blending elements of alternative, indie, and classic rock into a distinct sonic tapestry. In 2020, they made waves with the release of their debut EP, Morning Light, a collection of songs that showcases their versatility and songwriting prowess. Follow-up singles like Giants and It’s All Better further solidify their place in the local rock landscape.
