My Italian Family is my second one-woman show. In it, I return to my childhood with warmth, tenderness, and plenty of humor to tell the story of a little girl… me. As the daughter of Calabrian immigrants, I grew up between two cultures that are equally rich, yet wonderfully different: Italian and Québécois. Through this show, I share the challenges, the joys, and the misunderstandings that came with this dual identity that shaped who I am.
Through colorful characters and delightful anecdotes, I introduce you to my family—with all its excesses, cherished traditions, overflowing meals, and lively conversations. These are simple, authentic moments from everyday life: sometimes hilarious, sometimes touching, but always deeply human.
This show is more than a collection of memories; it is a tribute to my family heritage, to love, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds that connect us.
Following the success of Mes Bananes vertes, which was performed more than 70 times across Canada, France, and Belgium, My Italian Family invites audiences on a journey that is both deeply personal and universally relatable—one in which everyone can see a little of themselves, no matter where they come from.
