What did they say? How did they say it? Did they hear each other say it?<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>italfestMTL, in collaboration with Accenti Magazine, the Federation of Venetian Associations of Quebec and the League of Canadian Poets, invites you to write with Montreal authors Licia Canton and Liana Cusmano.<\/p>\n<p>We all have stories to tell or poems to share. Come explore your creativity in the language of your choice. A three-time Montreal Slam Champion, their novel Catch and Release (2022) was published by Guernica Editions. They are also a two-time finalist for the QWF Spoken Word Prize and winner of the 2024 Society Pages Poetry Contest. Liana Cusmano has led workshops for writers of all ages and levels of experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>Licia Canton<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Licia Canton is the author of The Pink House and Other Stories (2018) and \u201cA Taste of Home: Growing Up Italian in Montreal-North\u201d (2022). She is co-founder of Accenti, director of the documentary Creative Spaces: Queer and Italian Canadian (2021), recipient of the Premio Italia nel mondo (2018). She is featured in TLN\u2019s Invisible Voices: A Spotlight on Italian-Canadian Women Writers.
