Silvia Marazzi, Italian performer and choreographer based in Brussels. Her artistic reflection focuses on human interference with processes of perception, nature, communities, identity and borders. Silvia graduated in contemporary dance at the DanceHaus Academy and in cultural heritage conservation at the Università degli Studi di Milano. She then integrated her training with several masterclasses and workshops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Montreal, Belgium and Tallinn (Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, DV8, Olivier de Sagazan, La Pocha Nostra, Ephia Djalma, Mart Kangro, Peter Jasko, Troubleyn Jan Fabre, Marie Chouinard, Tero Saarinen, mouvement Gaga, Hofesh Shechter, Ultima Vez…).
Silvia began her career as a freelance artist in Milan and has contributed to several European festivals. In 2017 she moved to Montreal where she collaborated with several companies and on various independent artistic projects between Montreal, Ottawa and New York.
In 2018, she moved to Brussels where she worked as a dancer for Isabella Soupart, Vitamina, L’inconnu… and in 2020 she co-founded the Koròs collective with Rachele Gusella and Elana Rillh with the performance Si mon corps pouvait parler. That same year, Silvia became an artist recognized by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
In August 2022, Silvia joined the CPPM program for 4 months at EMTA in Tallin. On the strength of this experience, which led to the creation of the interdisciplinary solo NOT ENOUGH TO SEE, she returned to Brussels to found her own company and develop her artistic universe.
Researching around relationship, dialogue, perception and sensation in bodily expression, his personal, intimate and interactive work is characterized by hybridity between movement experimentation, visual art, language, technology and theory, with the intention of creating temporary communities and a new relationship between audience and performer.
This show is designed to be inclusive and accessible to people of all ages, cultures, genders and backgrounds. The participatory nature of the experience means that everyone has the opportunity to engage with the material and participate actively or not in the performance.
